Lava Peaks Adventures is a local company owned by two Tanzanians with broad experience in the tourism industry and related fields. One of the owners, Ramson Swai is an established mountain guide with more than ten years experience leading big and small groups of tourists both trekking Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru. In 2009, Ramson Swai was awarded a certification of appreciation for his job quality and named best worker by WANDERLUST based in UK. Since then he was promoted as group leader. After encouragement from many friends and clients, Ramson set out on his own to start Lava Peaks Adventures. He has partnered with Ms. Upendo Massawe who has 8 years work experience at National Parks Department of the Tanzanian government.
Lave Peaks gets its name from the three most famous peaks in Tanzania - Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and Ol Doinyo Lengai. The first two being dormant volcanoes and the later being an active volcano. We do far more than mountain climbs though, offering wildlife safaris, tribal and cultural tours along with Zanzibar beach holidays.
